What is this blog all about?

As a kid I was convinced that the Kansas song Dust In The Wind was about me because it was actually saying “all we are is DUSTIN the wind.” First of all, I realize it is pretty self-centered of me to think that. Yet it reality, it made me not like the song at all.

I thought that if it truly was saying “Dustin” then the tune was way too sad and far too slow to accurately represent me. It needed to be more of a rock song. This story immediately jumped to the front of my brain as I thought about a site where I wanted to post some random thoughts. I now recognize that my teenage years must have been even more character developing than my childhood ones because I now associate the song more with this scene from Bill And Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

Deep? Perhaps just enough. I think that's a bit like my purpose with this site. I would like to welcome you to that funny spot in the middle of the philosophical pool where the floor starts transitioning to the deep end but you can still touch the bottom.
